My husband recently passed away after suffering a lengthy illness that had necessitated his moving to a nursing home some months ago. He and I had been quite close with our neighbors in the sub-complex where we lived (I still reside there). They are a couple with whom we have frequently socialized over the years, who know our extended family and friends very well, and who regularly visited my husband in the home after he moved there.
