Borne Back Into the Past

30th Anniversary of Historic Buffalo River Tours
We all know that Buffalo was a “Blue Collar Town,” with a heritage full of hard work and industry. We also know the city’s history is full of architecture innovation, and there may not be a better way to experience the past, present, and future of industry and architecture in Buffalo like The Historic Buffalo River Tour. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the river tours take guest behind the scenes of the industrial waterfront. Floating on the Buffalo River aboard the Miss Buffalo, the river winds in and out of the massive grain elevators (some still in use) giving you better sense of why Buffalo received its industrial reputation. However, the tour is more than just a trip down the river. It’s a floating museum exhibit. The multimedia tour has music, photos, and videos to go along with the guided information. Tours leave at 12:30pm and return at 2:30pm on Sunday July 19, Saturday August 1 & 15, Sunday August 16, Saturday September 5, and Labor Day, Monday September 7. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for Children (Free under the age of three.) For reservations call (716) 856-6696, for more information or to learn about the other Industrial Heritage Trail tours, visit buffaloindustrialheritage.com.
