James Armstrong performs "Got It Goin' On"

Contemporary blues artist James Armstrong swings by the Lafayette Tap Room on Friday (Nov. 24), for a show that starts at 9:30pm. Growing up with musicians for parents gave Armstrong the music bug at an early age, as well as a strong foothold that has taken him up through the ranks at a steady pace. Armstrong has toured extensively, both solo and with artists like Albert Collins, Coco Montoya, “Big” Joe Turner and Smokey Wilson. He’s probably best known for his 2001 release Got It Goin’ On (Hightone Records), a recording whose name speaks for itself.
