THE BUSINESS OF

THE MAYOR’S OFFICE

IS BUSINESS

Quoting the mayor from the Buffalo News story titled “DA joins probe in death of worker”: “Business owners should be able to go beyond the bureaucracy to the mayor’s office to solve problems,” Brown said.

Does the mayor put the wants of business owners first rather than the laws he has sworn to uphold? It’s truly appalling that the mayor will meet with business owner’s who are trying to circumvent the laws of our city, but not the concerned workers that his lack of enforcing the city’s Living Wage Law affects.

One can only wonder if Rural Metro Medical Services went beyond the bureaucracy and right to the mayor to exempt the company from the legislation that mayor wrote as a councilman. Now that he no longer needs the support of the working people of our city, it appears that he believes he only needs to keep the contributors from businesses happy to keep him in office.

Who where the first responders at that tragedy, Mayor Brown? The Buffalo Fire Department and Rural Metro, both of which you refuse to meet with. Keep looking after yourself and your political moneymen and see how these first responders respond to your cries for votes.
