This is Our Town
We’re announcing a new competition right here and now: Help us revamp this category. We need to start asking you all some different questions.
Sure, the first few categories change with the headlines. (Though not entirely: Bass Pro, the Peace Bridge, lack of jobs, and waterfront development are perennials.) But “Best Indoor Public Space” and “best Outdoor Public Space” are static. This is not a bad thing: Delaware Park and the Botanical Gardens are drop-dead lovely, and there’s no reason they should not be honored year after year.
But surely if we asked a new batch of questions, we’d find new corners of Western New York to fete. Seriously, help us out: Email suggestions to editorial@artvoice.com.
