O'Connel & Company Moves to Park School

After months of speculation, the announcement has been made. Beginning with the 2013-2014 Season this September, O’Connell & Company, under the leadership of Buffalo musical Diva Mary Kate O’Connell, will move from ECC North to the campus of the Park School to produce a full season of plays, musicals, and special events.

“As a progressive school we believe in active, experiential learning, and I can think of nothing more experiential than having our students and faculty work alongside O’Connell & Company as they stage their productions,” said Christopher J. Lauricella, Park’s Head of School. Founded in 1912, the Park School is a college preparatory, co-educational, independent school in Amherst, for students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12.

The park-like setting of the school provides an elegant setting for the company and moves the group closer to the region’s other professional theaters.

O’Connell & Company is currently presenting its production of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown at ECC North. Directed by Guy Tomassi, the show stars Nicholas Lama, Anne Roaldi, Steven E. Sitzman, Josh Snyder, Arin Lee Dandes, and Joey Bucheker. See On the Boards for details.
