DJ AOKI/KID MILLIONAIRE

Steve Aoki is the man behind Dim Mak Records (representing artists like Bloc Party, the Kills, the Gossip, Klaxons, Scanners, and MSTRKRFT) and also the man behind the production moniker Weird Science (Peaches, Snoop Dogg, Bloc Party, and more.) Under his own name—DJ Aoki/aka Kid Millionaire—he has remixed Duran Duran and Timbaland, as well as original work with renowned producer Junkie XL. Adding to the list of accomplishments and famous cohorts, Aoki runs his own clothing lines (the Dim Mak Collection and Magic), counts Good Charlotte’s Joel and Benji Madden and Lindsey Lohan among his friends, and is brother to supermodel Devon Aoki, who replaced Naomi Campbell as the face of Versace and holds the dubious honor of being the world’s shortest supermodel, standing only 5’5”. Born in Miami and now working out of L.A., Steve Aoki is a mega-celebrity DJ, an “It” boy of the SoCal indie rock scene, and a current driving force behind L.A. nightlife. Such contemporary hip glamour doesn’t often make its way to Buffalo. He’s appearing at an intimate club to boot, courtesy of Factory Nightlife.
