A Couple of Blaguards

The Irish Classical Theatre Company took delight even in hearing Vincent O’Neill read passages from Frank McCourt’s book Angela’s Ashes out loud, and let’s face it, that had more clouds of gray than any Russian play could have guaranteed. Now the brothers McCourt return, with Chris Kelly as Frank and Christian Brandjes as Malachy. We are promised an upbeat evening of storytelling, comedy, and song, with the requisite heart-tugging, and hyperbolic invention, under the direction of Gordon McCall. The production opens this week and continues through November 18 at the Andrews Theatre (625 Main Street). Call 853-ICTC for tickets.
