Zander Overkill is dead. Twin brother Zack is drugged up and in the hands of Special Operations Service, a high-tech witness protection program. And Zack’s not going anywhere in this gritty science fiction noir universe, though it just might be safer on the other side. Drugged up and off the grid, Zack finds himself doubting the “9-5 job” he’s been provided, and right now he can’t live his life of lies anymore. After a party and some drunken frolicking with Amanda from accounting, he decides to break away and go out again at night; then the adventurous subterfuge starts all over again, only this time it’s even worse than before. When writer Ed Brubaker comes up with a brand new story idea, seat belts are usually required, and this series is no exception. Illustrator Sean Phillips enhances the story with his own brand of SF designing, a hybrid 1930s SF costuming and weaponry. This hardcover edition collects Incognito and its sequel, Incognito: Bad Influences, the even darker expansion of this universe. If you enjoy 200 miles-per-hour crime fiction, with twists and many turns, this series is for you.
