An excerpt from "Vanity Dance" by The Waildogs

When/Where playing this week? Starting May 25 we will play every Thursday at 9pm at the wonderful Club Diablo. There will be a different band following us at 10pm, starting with the John Bertini Band.

Band Members? Dave Schmeidler guitar/vocals, Mike Lasek bass/vocals, Bob Price drums/percussives/vocals.

When did the band form? Autumn 2003, our first gig was New Year's Eve 2004 at Fat Bobs; we handed out song lists to try to get the audience’s attention.

You might like us if you like…Guitar-driven blues rock jam folk jazz; electric and/or acoustic.

List of recorded releases…We perform originals from individual projects, but no band recordings yet.

Worst show ever played…Best not to dwell on them.

Best show the band ever played…Opening for the Mike Keneally Band, and Adrian Legg at Broadway Joe's last summer. Playing one set gives us a chance to really wail.

Anything else you would like our readers to know about the band…We love to just start playing and let the music take over. Songs flow into one another in ways you’d never expect. We’ve had equal success with electric and acoustic shows, performing the same music. Come join us!
