"Off the Beaten Path" Tour
ForgottenBuffalo.com presents the original “Off the Beaten Path” Tour on Thursday (Dec. 6), from 6-10pm. A whirlwind of unique landmarks, classic taverns, old world neighborhoods and Nickel City oddities, this unforgettable event includes a home cooked meal, libations at a pre-prohibition tavern, entertainment by a polka-singing bartender and much more. With television personality Maxwell Truth as the guide, this is sure to be a Buffalo adventure the likes of which ain’t been seen in years. Explore the historic Polonia district, identify the “Most Endangered Landmarks of 2007” and visit sites of former haunts like the old Nawrocki’s (pictured above, circa 1960). The four-hour jaunt costs $35 and provides dinner, bus transportation and the tour. Space is way limited, e-mail ForgottenBuffalo@aol.com to reserve a seat. Ages 21+ only.
