Buffalo’s the Missing Planes have been around the Queen City’s music community, but now it’s time for them to leave the scene. Oh, but worry not fans of local indie rock, the Planes are not actually taking off for different skies. Leave The Scene is actually the name of the band’s third release. It promises to expand on the Missing Planes sound —part Breeders honeyed, crunching guitar rock and Beat Happening DIY aesthetic and honesty—and explore beyond it. The Missing Planes celebrate Leave The Scene this Saturday (July 12) at Mohawk Place with The Failures’ Union and The Gifted Children
