Steam Donkeys (April 11)

The Steam Donkeys
Meet the new, deluxe version of Buffalo’s own Sweathogs of the Rodeo—the Steam Donkeys—when they take the stage at Nietzsche’s on Friday (April 11) at 7pm sharp. The band, shown here in their top-secret headquarters located somewhere in Allentown, has been hammering out brand new material and choice covers with the help of veteran keyboard ace Dan Delano, who brings honky tonk piano riffs and B-3 organ swells to the signature Donkey sound. Immediately following at 10pm is Johnny Cash-inspired outfit A Band Named Sue, who will throw more moonshine on the fire at this all-night CD release party for roots outfit Shaky Stage, who are dropping their new record Pulled Out of Our Association. Rounding out the night is a set by local blues-harp wailer Dan Harper. Bring two pairs of boots, so you’re not barefoot when the first pair wears out.
