Chimaira performs "Disposable Heroes"

Ohio-based rock band Chimaira may be leading the new wave of American heavy metal, and by shying away from current metal trends and embracing change they appear to be off to a good start. Their latest project, Resurrection (due out on Ferret Records in March) is said to be their darkest yet. Lyrics trace three themes – rejection, revenge, and repercussion, and the prevalent guitar solos are representative of the band’s current motivations. All in favor of an ‘80s revival? Chimaira will be playing at the Dome Theatre on Sunday night (Feb 25) along with Killswitch Engage, Dragonforce, and He Is Legend. Doors open at 6:30pm.
